    :never had any problems until now have a couple of these .been sitting in closet for awhile thought it was full of dust. (prefer 76s over 29s) i know people say they are the same so ARE SOME NOT THANKS AGAIN:thumbup:

    have uniden 76 when it is cold takes time to start working. in the mornings it picks up local am radio station but on hot days no problems cranks right up. lights are on but nothing else no sound or key up::confused:

    galaxy rec those guys are right when i got my 949 the techb told me he had to start at the pll and work out. because i had almost 0 recieve before it got tuned

    what i mean is i get no transmit no recieve hooked up watt meter it does not read anything coming from radio no output no swr. dont even get static. radio keys/ modulates but nothing out the back end

    have cobra 148 has some kind of short in coax connector on back of radio have different radios no issues only on 148

    have a turner 3 want to know how to wire for four pin galaxy cobra etc.

    2879 are mustly high drive pills maybe hard to drive with radio only

    have a 1996 suburban . also have a 2 driven 8 pill 2879s do i need to add a battery isolator so that it wont back up into the main electical system
