I am more interested in SSB performance. A jackson tuned properly will outperform a 99v also tuned on SSB all day long and twice on sunday. Also as I have said I run 2600/2510/lincolns day to day. I want the president my collection. :bored:
The 99v's weakness is SSB stability. The Jackson's weakness is AM audio. They are different radios designed for different purposes. I think that is well known. :confused1: Why do we need to keep rehashing that?
to each his own. I wont be using the 99v or the jackson on a regular basis. I run 2600/2510/Lincolns chipped and doc modded right now. The old presidents are for nostalgia more than function.
Nice radio. I noticed the band selector is different. I wonder if its because mine is a grant classic.
Does anyone know if there are differences between the two?
I am looking for a Uniden 2830. I have Lincolns 2510s and 2600's but need a 2830 to complete my collection. If you have one to part with I have cash and trade possibilities.
BTW I know they are next to impossible to find but it is worth a shot.:glare:
I just bought a mint President Grant Classic from an old friend. Can any of you give me some history on this model. I have been around and owned President Grants, Uniden Grants and the XL LT variants but not a President Grant classic.
I cant wait to fire this radio up on 27.385!
factory box everything wrapped except the radio which had the chip installed. I have trouble believing that it did not come from the factory with the red lines. The paint is to perfect to be done by hand.
The lincoln isnt for sale. She is headed to doc and will be my base. I have been looking for the right lincoln with a chip to e my base for a while.
The indicator lines is what I thought where weird. I have never seen red lines on the knobs before. I ask doc and he hadn't either. That is why...
I picked up a new lincoln in the box at a cb shop that had been closed since 05. It has weird knobs and I was hoping someone could shed light on why.
Serial number is 9950067* . My other lincoln starts with 89 and was made in 89 so I am assuming this is much newer.
Can anyone tell me when...
