    Listen Live Channel 38 LSB

I am trying to figure out how to record off it and I would run out to the garage and key the radio and give a holler then run back in the house and playback to hear myself.

hammer0630 does have a point. What the heck was the FCC thinking when they allocated HF freqs to a Citizen Band for local communications only? Pretty tough to take the FCC seriously after that cruel joke.

    DX-Skip

We talk local on .375 ssb here everyday. It is quit enough to talk to each other and we also get the occasional skipshooter to join in with us. Pretty fun lately.

My friends make fun of me.....

I find it kind of sad how we now live in a society where people are so concerned what others do in their life. I am old enough to remember days when people were not so interested or judgmental what others do or don't do. I guess I am old fashioned because I couldn't care less if someone were...

    Antron 99

We usually just stick the antenna on a pole out in the yard and set the swrs, generally speaking the antenna stays good when you put her up, sometimes even the swr's get lower.

I have a question about the NEC's ground bonding code.

Yep, it has thin expansion joints Booty Monster, something else to think about. The driveway is in good shape but next time around I will make sure to throw a piece of conduit under it. So in everyone's opinion would it be better to 'not' ground an antenna than ground it and 'not' have it...

    Is it a bad sign....?

Is it a bad sign when the cable company's white van has been sitting in my elderly neighbor lady's driveway all day?

Don't let this one get away!

That looks like a beautiful example of a "good buddy agitator" radio! :tongue_smilie:

I have a question about the NEC's ground bonding code.

I understand what you are saying Captain K , I wish I had an easy way to accomplish this bonding. Maybe if I sit in the dark quietly long enough something will come to me other than trying to tunnel under my driveway.

I have a question about the NEC's ground bonding code.

I have been doing much reading about grounding antennas etc. Now I understand multiple grounds need to be bonded together including the ground entering the house. Now my question is , my 8 ft ground rod connected to the antenna mast which is connected to the coax via antenna, which is...

My antenna doesnt like wet snow.

I hear you! Mine are back down now, it was the real wet stuff that made her climb yesterday but the little snow we are getting today is having no effect.

My antenna doesnt like wet snow.

My friends make fun of me.....

Ha, I will take that as a compliment. I used to have a disaster of a garage up until last spring. I spent the winter finishing it off with insulation ,drywall etc and now find myself somewhat organized for the first time in my life.
