yeah roger that. Who needs a huge linear. 450 to 600 watts gets you out just fine. anything bigger would have to be a 16 pill to get a 6db gain or 1S unit.

I agree with DTB. I have a 4300-300 with 4x2879's in it. It does about 600watts. 590ish. If i whistle real loud it getts to 600. Ask GRTS about the amp board on these radios he knows about them. CB tricks has the mod for the 2879's swap. Is it worth the money thats up to you. You...

I had bought some ArmorFlex coax and for some reason couldn't get the SWR on my antenna to come down to a reasonable level. Just my experience with the stuff.

For a Semi-truck this antenna would not be quite as effecient as a top loaded antenna. With it's small shaft the load of this atenna is considered a bottom load antennna. Which is not as good as a top loaded antenna IMHO. Always try to get the load of your antenna as high as possible.
