Did you have the counterpoise inside the apt or outside with the antenna? How was your antenna setup for DX? I have a Radiowavs Bazooka dipole laying around which I will try along with the MFJ1622. In terms of tuners, I have a MFJ 934 and I just ordered a LDG Z100 Plus.

Do you think a dipole inside would perform as well as the MFJ 1622, outside?

The Cobra XL350 is great! The texas star puts out more power but the relay is really noisy, and the heatsink is at the bottom (not ideal for base setup). I may end up selling the TS.

Not sure how well that will work because the fridge is literally located in the middle of the building. At least if I run the loop in my bedroom, I'm near a window and at the front of the building. The mag mount wouldn't be more than 3 feet high if mounted on top of the fridge. =(
