Heil mic gm4 or 5.1

Hi i iam after buying a heil mic and was looking at the goldline gm4 but i need to know will it suit my old yaesu ft 747gx a very basic set with no eq settings. Anyone running such a setup with good results. Any ideas about the 5.1 gm or hm 12 on the ft 747. Many thanks
