If you run a clean radio, and don't overdrive it; even a class c is fine for AM. I ran a 1x4 for a good long time...I had no issues with splatter. But my radio was tuned by DTB and I was loafing that amp.

My only point on running a four pill is that you can run that 3300HP into it wide open and not need to worry about over driving it and it would get close to his 500 watt goal.

I agree with 359...a four pill, behind that 3300hp, would get into that 500 watt range. And personaly, if the radio isn't butchered; I would considered a four pill Fatboy or Davemade...

I use one in my one mobile...its accurate enough for the general population. Its lived fine in that environment...it worked fine earlier this week when it was below zero here.
By the way, I've been there. Spent all that $$$$ on a similar setup. And here I sit with a simple 2-pill after owning the "big boxes".
You're one that has to learn from experience?

He's trolling...you guys already answered the majority of his questions, he just keeps coming.
He wants you to tell him what he wants to hear...

You don't want or need a variable in the amp...you control the amp's output with the radio's variable power.
I've owned both a comp 4 pill and a Fatboy 1x4...while the 1x4 had bigger numbers (600ish versus about 400 from the 4 pill) it was also a pain to constantly adjust...air temperature...
You should be able to run that 1x4 as-is as long as you're not really long winded...you're right at the edge of go/no go with your ride...that 1x4 will pull almost 100 amps.
Personally, IF that 29 is actually putting out that kind of power (I find that questionable), I'd be looking at a...
Well, it works fairly well for barefoot. Got good reports on this week's trip to Florida and back. The sensitivity is pretty good, considering how noisy the band has been lately.
My only thoughts on upgrading would be a touch more power. But I'm not even sure that its worth the effort. I'm...
They just threaten with negative feedback...and yeah, one guy was local said he would find me; bring it.
Again, that whole feedback system is a joke...it barely represents the honest folks, let alone the criminals.
And anyone can give any feedback regardless of whether its actual. Q had negative feedback from good transactions simply because the seller thought he was grading someone else. Its bogus and means nothing.

Who cares...almost nobody looks at feedback anyway. Even bad sellers/buyers work around the system to get good feedback...some even go as far as to threaten you if you leave bad feedback (had that happen).
I quit eBay a long time ago...its not safe for either the good buyer or the good seller...
If you hunt around, NOS grants come along from time to time...I have two, one was a NOS and the other was lightly used; and both are Philippines models.
I'm sure a 148 would come up once and a while too...
I think you will find it depends on the radio...some it makes a noticeable difference, others are pretty good from the factory and it is almost a pointless mod.
