That radio has a talkback, or "monitor gain" circuit, and I sound great. I'll have to try listening through a different radio. I sent it back to the dealer (Scott's Radios) to check it out, and he says he can't hear anything wrong with it, so I asked if he's checked it on the scope or analyzer...

IMHO, that is the best HF amplifier on the market. Wish I had kept mine. But life happens sometimes.

Common sense dictates that one would begin the troubleshooting process, by taking everything out of line, and testing the radio itself, which I did. In the beginning, I thought the amplifier was the problem, but it was just protesting, due to CMC getting into my equipment, which I have resolved...

Yes, I'm completely aware of that. That comment has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand, but thanks just the same. As a point of fact, I paid $0 for this amplifier, it was a gift.

Yeah, it came back around, but I took the cover off, and discovered a missing 2SC945. My RF power doesn't do much in the way of reducing RF power, and I suspect the missing transistor might have something to do with it.
