So ssb is real good and can hear extremely well but am is real quiet with NB anl off has no static hardly at all even in the truck but it was like that before. i have a Taiwan made 148gtl that im wanting to install a face and counter from aa ranger 396FC on to have a frequency counter on basically to make my own 148F out of like the one lescomm makes but leaving the Taiwan board unmodified as far as high power or echo or receiver mods goes just adding...

Thanks for this will do a recap this weekend I did the filter caps but never thought to replace these I did look for any 10 volt or 6.3 ones but all were 16 volt or more so I jumped them but yea good idea there thanks
