Still working on VCO. Thought I'd post a pic of my short astro plane. I was able to hear Baltimore and North Carolina yesterday evening and talk sideband to NV and Utah. Hell of an antenna.

Having an interesting issue with AM xmit. About 1/3 of the time, It transmits it's usual 1.2k high over rx, when I key off it shifts to somewhere around 28.031. It stays there on rx until I toggle to USB, wait a second, then turn back to AM which returns it back to where it should be. Any ideas?

No joy. This one actually doesn't have a ribbon cable, its more like a transparent 13 wire deal. More wire like than printed ribbon. There is no socket on either end, just soldered directly into both boards. The contacts on the relay don't look like they have been worked much at all, I think...

Ok. Nomad's method got the clarfier to change TX. Still have the gap between TX and RX. On Ch21 AM: RX-27.2150 TX-26.2167 Looks like alignment time. Probably a stupid question but can I align via the Freq Counter on the Channel side or do I need to do it on the Test Points?

I found a lot of different instructions for the clarifier on tx. I ended up removing R117 and D30 and moving the purple wire to a point on the board which measured 9.1 VDC. Now the clarifier goes from .3 Khz above Freq to 1.5Khz above freq. I seem to have lost the ability to get dead on freq...

Working on a 36' erection right now (Antenna Mast for my astro plane). Once I get the concrete poured in the ground and the coax run, I should be able to get things going on the clarifier and have the Madison hooked up to a tall antenna. More updates to come.
