    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

OK, my apologies. The Service Menu has the options to adjust / set the low and high dead-key carrier and those are the only two settings I adjusted. From what I have read, there are seven or eight clones of the 5555 and I can only assume that each clones has its own software program. My...

    Stryker 955 NPC/swing mod

I agree. I purchased two 955HPC+ radios at the same time and both radios have been working great for one year. No mods on either radio and the Low Dead-Key is 1.5 watt and High Dead-Key is 8 watts. My friend bought one radio from me and we both have a 2-pill amp driving a 10-pill amp. We keep...

AnyTone AT-5555 Plus (New Version) DC Power Loss

I had taken your advice and triple-checked all connections and identified the problem. My home-brew heavy-duty 10 gage power cord. I connected a six-inch piece of a standard 14/16 gage 12 volt power cord to a thirty-six inch piece of 10 gage wire with butt-connectors and the crimp onto...

Anytone AT-5555N II (version 2). AM modulation swing and or SSB safe power output adjustment

From what I have read, the AnyTone 5555Plus (new version) and the Retevis HS4 are manufactured from the same "cookie cutter" and at the same bakery. The default value numbers in my new version AnyTone 5555Plus and my friend's Retevis HS4 are not exactly the same, but very close. AM Low and High...

    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

The Quad5 Plus is my designated local radio matched-up with the Colossal 10K. I disconnected the amp and set the max RF power @ 6 watts with the RF Power at the full clockwise position.

    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

Assuming the factory AM HP default value number on Menu #15 is 185, at the two o'clock position, the carrier would be approximately 10 watts. At twelve o'clock, the carrier would be approximately 6 watts.

    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

For reference only. The factory default settings on my friend's HS4 and my AT-5555 Plus are; RF Power fully clockwise. Menu #15 / AM HP: Value #185 = 12 watt carrier. RF Power fully counterclockwise. Menu #16 / AM LP: Value #106 = 3 watt carrier. With RF Power fully clockwise, we set the AM...

AnyTone AT-5555 Plus (New Version) DC Power Loss

I've tried a different radio with a two-watt carrier and I have the same problem. Definitely no defects with with jumpers, antenna and coax because my Stryker 955 works great with the same jumpers, antenna and coax.

AnyTone AT-5555 Plus (New Version) DC Power Loss

I'v Yes, I use the "rule of thumb" formula, 25 watts per pill for the dead-key and reduce the formula by twenty-five percent. I have returned the 1 X 4 to the builder and requested to convert it to a straight 4 pill and install the components required for sideband delay.

AnyTone AT-5555 Plus (New Version) DC Power Loss

Will the radio drive the 4-pill? 1.5 watt carrier = 20 PEP watts 4 watt carrier = 25 PEP watts 6 watt carrier = 40 PEP watts 10 watt carrier = 48 PEP watts
