I do no understand, problem solved with power adapter connected? My battery hold the charge for 5 hours in rx mode with APRS on. I think we need a 1800mA battery.

Thanks Moleculo, do not try before mods, mine occasionaly emits whifle and only in AM. Laurenzo's radio is out of the box, no mods. Now try to change menu settings :headbang, any other ideas?
