Antennas I have both the A-99 and Imax 2000 antennas. Imax 2000 is a better antenna. But, your old one can be fixed back up. The ideas others have said, will work good for you.

Fiberglass Antennas I have used the A-99, Imax 2000, and some of the fiberglass Skakespeare Antennas. The Army Big Stick and Imax 2000 were my favorites. But, the I-10k or Maco 5/8 will out-perform them. As i have both of these also.

White Lightning I recently put up a White Lightning Signal Engineering Quad. Works great, its performance is unbelieveable. The directions could of been better though...
