I found the power differences... one is 600 ( the 4000 series ) and the other is 1500 ( 5000 series ) I asked one of the resalers and they said its the power handling and DB gain, but I cant find the specs on DB gain... I also read that people say cut the continuous power handling in half...

Why can't we use the mag mount? I deff don't wanna drill The 4000 is the same as the 5000 right? Or at least should be? But damn better than then wilsons in would guess as well.

I don't want any extra added length. I don't want nor need the folding feature, so if I can get one that doesn't have it, even better.

What bothers me is the extra length I don't want or need. See where it says sirio in that picture towards the bottom of the antenna is what? What is it, an additional 4" or so? I'd like a sirio that has nothing under the words and goes straight into a mag mount, similar to the wilson1000

Yeah I didnt think about the antenna being bad. Its off the truck now and Im waiting for an antenna. I like the Sirio's.. Standby for another thread lol

No. Well I asked on air and they said no. But I was switching mics after its been keyed up a few times, so I guess the antenna or internals were "heated" up... I dont know if the lag or scratchy-ness at first is antenna or mic related.

I think I'm going to replace the coil... Any input on that guys? I can but a 5000 coil right and put it on the 1000 base

So turn off the if filter. ( the one that turns on the light ) Also this is weird... When I turn on the cb, I get a lot of static. If I just key up for 2 sec and then key down I hear everyone talking.... If I don't do that ill never hear anything.. Any idea on what's what?

Oh I had power all the way up... to the right Im using a mag mount Wilson 1000. I also have NB on and the internal filter ( where you hold the one knob in and the little light pops up ) Plus T-low is on as well.

Well as I said above, I cant make any SSB contacts. I cant even get anyone to say anything. On AM, all day I can talk.
