What's channel 6? I've seen that a bit where people are saying getting your name called out... I would assume Its a big dogs channel
Do I have to leave the meters in line? Also I'm going mobile
Now see I just got another reply on another forum saying that the n2, is no good. He said his tech...
This is one of the only forums I see the optima pushed so hard, that's why I'm reluctant. Not many reviews neither. I don't doubt you/it but I wanna look into it more.
Also, I'm not going to use it solely on AM... I just wanna have it function on both. I've never been on AM or SSB.. So I wanna...
Well maybe because it was a new radio right off the line? I'd like to run the n2 for the power already there at hand.. No amp needed. ..
What's the jopix about versus the mk3? Just the single final? Why can the jopix freeband better than the mk3?
Also so you think that the 50w from the optima...
Yeah I guess that was him... Decisions decisions. I like the 2950/70n2 for its track record. And they can be nodded to have the power and reduce the Rx noise I read about..
I read recently about a few display issues and receive issues. How is it on am? Don't take this the wrong way but I see the same people touting about the Optima and it isn't many. Now that could be because the radio isn't as popular/ low key in terms of people knowing about it...
Thanks Red,
Im honestly having a hard time on figuring out where I wanna be power wise. I read the page over at cbradiomagazine and pretty much 100w and 450w are the two levels worth being at. Anything else pretty much is a small gain to money spent ratio.
100w being the best and then...
You're right I am haha. How come someone new make a choice when whatever radio you go with has 50% good and 50% bad reviews? Its damn near impossible to make a choice. The only radio I have read about that gets 100% good reviews is the General Lee. I know its not SSB, but damn. Not one negative...
Yeah I know what you're saying.. I just don't wanna buy another radio later.. I'd rather do it now and get it over with, ya know? I know. I know lol buy I don't wanna have 6 radios lol. This is my first radio so I don't know who's talking on what in my area...
Oh okay so the clarifier just fine tunes the freq up and down a little? I thought it just filtered the freq some.
How does the optima do on AM .. I'd be using the CB band on standard 40 channels too.
What about an amp for it or alignment? I ask just because I've seen it mentioned so much. It...
I know man. Are there any other alternatives in the 100w range? Why do you say its expensive? Just the cost at 100w or the quality vs. Cost factor?
How is the optima's sensitivity on AM?
I'd also like to have a counter for the freq too. Since I'm new to this any help on SSB and when I can see...
