Midland 77-250c problems

I have a Midland 77-250c Powermax. The radio is neither recieving or transmiting, but when i hook it up to external speakers and flip to PA i can here my self loud ans clear. I have hooked it up to a SWR meter and keyed my mic and the needle doesn't seem to wanna bug. I no my meter, coax cables...
