can anyone tell me if this is a truth or a myth? and if it is true is there anyway to stop it from happening..im thinking about getting a 4 pill for my truck (2010 Mack) but im worried about spiking the computer with stray RF..and also does the RF find its way to the computer from the power...

thanks for the reply..from what i have read on here and other internet sites it seem that you only need a class ab when you use sideband..and that some of those amps that claim to be class ab are not really class ab untill further mods have been done to them..im sure there was a thread on here...

been looking at getting a four pill amp for my stryker 490..midnight special 500 or davemade 400 both amps have the same pills in them (2879's)..the midnight special is rated at 500 but it seems the pep input is to low for my 490..the davemade is rated at 800 + and will handle my stryker...

been surfing the net and noticed that there is a 2510 pill that is rated for 150 watts..my question is can i replace the 2290 that is in the radio with a 2510 without changing alot of other components..thanks for any input that anyone might have

was looking at midnight special 500 or the mosfet 400 .. the 500 now has the 2879 pills in it now..the mosfet doesnt say what it has but it does say that its made for a high drive radio..just was wanting some opinions on what amp would match up better to my stryker..BTW cant go much bigger do to...

working on a connex 3300 that i shorted out a trace on..(fixed that )it has no receive at al..l no rx light ..no meter movement ..i have changed the rx voltage transistors with no luck..can anyone point me in the right direction to solve the problem?

i have adjusted the noise level on a few radios by just using my own ears. better to do at night with some distant radio traffic.. you can slowly adjust the pots to lower the white noise but not lose the distant signal..probably wont turn either pot more than one turn to get the results your...

i have a 3300hp that i was trying to fix a broken solder joint on (intermittent loss of tx..)give the radio a tap it would work for a while..while soldering points i shorted out a trace.which burned r194..fixed shorted trace replaced r194 with same value..now the radio throws out a very low...

found the problem..solder joints around the VCO were loose... touched them up and now the radio is back on frequency... yeah!!!!!

cobra 29 is off channel.. VCO wont drop that far..can anyone help with this ?channel 19=27.195 and all other channels are the same way..thanks for any help
