well ive got many radios i was just thinking of trying something to this radio..when you get a radio and have next to nothing in it why not try to improve your skills..im just a home hobby guy lokkin to try something differnt..and a dual final 959 would be differnt RIGHT

i just got a galaxy 959 2007 model year ..should i get the dual final kit 30.00 or the rfx 75 44.00 ?..and what can i expect from the dual finals..btw the kit is the 2030 erf kit..thanks for all the help on the forum..

if you talking about the rfx costing 100.00 thats way to high..i might see a 100.00 total for the part and the install.. rfx 75 costs 44.00 on ebay shipped

the 4300 and the 3300 have the same board should try cbtricks.com..there site is well worth looking at before doing anything to any radio. BTW i have a 4300 and it walks the dog and kicks the cat ..echo is very touchy on the 4300 you only have to turn it on just past the click..match the knobs...

c 68 is right next to the final that was removed to install the wires through..only used to raise or lower the deadkey..if your deadkey is were you want it i would just leave it..

did you change the cap at c 42? that is one of the things i am wondering about..i did ad the cap and resistor at j 36 ..im wondering about the voltage at c 42.. the only cap i could find at radioshack was a3300 uf 6.3 volts..calls for 3300 uf 16 volts ..the ? was will it blow the lower voltage...

im not sure how you can tell if a final is good or bad unless you have a transistor tester..anyway i recently had a magnum S3 that did the same thing as you are describing it was one of the finals the driver was the only thing working..replaced BOTH finals ...CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW.. THE RADIO...

stryker radios dont have a on/off for the swr warning ...the meter on the radio will FLASH when your swr is high.. as far as the meter goes you might be able to adjust the meter on the radio to match your bench meter ..i have 2 different strykers and they kickass..goodluck with the meter problem

have a s-3 that will go to channel 9 when turned on in the morning no tx or rx ..flip on off a few fast times if lucky it will work fine as long as you dont turn it off..

ive tried astatic 636 also roadking 56 not a fan of power mics maybe just a stock galaxy mic will make it talk

anybody know what i can do to get more audio from my 44 it swings a plenty gets out good ..but it just dosnt have that beefy sound like a connex 33 or am i dreaming too much..the radio will swing well past 25 watts on my cheap meter..

thanks for the info LC..the problem is as you stated when the astatic mic is pluged in i can hear fine its just that i have to turn the volume knob up twice as much to here the same db. as with stock mic or RK56..the mic works fine on 10 meter radio

i had a stock mic on a cobra 29..had to barely crack the volume to hear the rx. audio..hooked an astatic 636 and i have to double the volume to here the rx audio..is this an astatic thing ?? i tried it (astatic)on another cobra and it does the same thing..

i didnt try it without the cap completly outof the radio i will pull it out in the morning and see what it does thankss

well i got good news :D and and bad news.. :( the good news is i found the cap on pin 5..when i moved it to pin for it killd the motorboat..bad news it also killed my audio..have carrier no swing.. thanks again
