I see people make a junction box with input and output and a bNC connector going to scope to view their signal out of the transmitter. Anybody know how to construct one? Thanks in advance.
I got the 200+ plus page service manual online. I'm just wondering what kind of bnc connectors I need. I just got the scope nothing else. I just need to be pointed in the right direction. I'm starting to think you need a degree to fully understand how a scope works.
Thank you and everybody for their input. It's all starting to make sense now. I'm just trying to learn as i go with my new past time activity being radios. Worldwidedx has been an excellent resource. Thanks!
To align your transmitter it says to hook up to scope and adjust for best forward swing on scope and I'm wondering if that would over load a 100 mhz scope? I found this on cbtricks. "oscilloscope is basically a voltmeter that can also give you information on the shape and quality of a signal...
What kind of scope do I need for an 11 meter radio? I was looking at a 100 mhz oscilloscope. Would that be enough to check rf power or would the 10x rule come into affect? What kind of probes? Thanks for any help...
Well figured it out! Called galaxy and after a few days of trouble shooting ( they really seem like they rather not have you send it in) we got it figured out. It was a big electrolytic capasitor by the audio amp. No obvious bad soder joints but when I wiggled components by the audio amp I...
Thank you for the reply! So yeah I'm looking to take the chrome bezel off to make wires and switches more accessible to work on. I got a new chrome ltd. So your saying take the channel selector nut out and that will separate the chrome bezel from the radio? Thanks forby our time, big really...
Yeah the bezel looks like two different pieces and I'm just wondering how people remove the bolt on the channelled selector and wires on the ch 9 switch. I take the 4 screws out and the whole bezel only comes out like an inch with all the wires connected. Thanks
Yeah 10-4. In r56 I got a 470 ohm and a switching diode. I also added compacitence in different areas. I got bias at r88 I believe at 2.8. I got a 3 watt key swinging 13 will vr4 wide open. Thanks for your time
