    irf520 mosfet for cobra 29

I find this debate about mosfet finals interesting. Ive got a couple 29s with mosfet swaps they run good, draw slightly less current for the performance. I will say that i never see the watts the shops see. I run at 14 or 15v and my mosfet swaps do 30 ish on a bird 43p. I also have cobras with...

Tube subs for D&A Phantom. How not2.

If you feel like doing a bit of work i can make a tube swap suggestion. You will need forced air cooling like a pressurized cathode cabinet of some sort and a fan or mini blower., and some ingenuity to clamp the grid to a chassis, and some craftiness for chimneys, u could use a sheet of teflon...

    KL-703 tuned input

I always found it interesting that cb amplifiers and their customers want variable power. Except for ldmos amps, ive never seen this on any commercially available amplifiers. People should control the amp with the radio not the other way around.

Golden Eagle Model T68/R68 CB Base Station for sale $350 plus shipping...

My biggest complaint about all the brownings, is while they sound good for what they are and they're fun etc I've only ever used the one two and three, and all three of them did not have a very discerning receiver. I could usually hear a couple channels wide and it was really fucking annoying

I wonder if thats the case why people aren't using them on the bowl, or at keydowns, or in hi fi setups... I mean all of those different niches are used to spending money. I mean look it's like owning a classic car, it's cool and it's fun and I'd like to have it but I know that I'd get angry...

A 1 or a 2 pill. That box will produce 2-2500 pep easily. Use as much drive as it takes to get there. Likely 10% of its output. Probably 100-200 watts

Another option, one i used to do, is use an ac fan. It will be powered by the wall current off the main switch. They will not slow down.

They are 7812 regulators. The problem is they are being asked to sink alot of power without a heatsink. Remove them. Power the fans from The switch.

Sirio mobile antennas, which is which

So just an update. Earlier this year after this thread was posted. I put an old stock wilson roof mount on my truck with a sirio fighter p-5000-pl. It had the fold over lever thing. Seemed well made. Tuned very easily. I check my SWR every day as a normal matter of course. Its the first thing i...
