Without that 30db"s of ionicphereic skip. You can actually hear alot of other skip you just dont get during the cycle. So hell i'm enjoying it.

Check at the antenna with a jumper to see what it is at the antenna. It should be darn near flat across the 40 channels. Its not bad for low power operation. But a 1.7:1 will cause stress on any amp or coax connections.

I own both Chris's and Jay's 5/8 wave antenna. And personally perfer Jay's because it's so damm light! And Jay's design bends much better with the constant afternoon winds here in the foothills. No real difference beyond that, but always interested in newer technology.
