    Do the speaker wires lead straight to the external speaker Jack on the inside of the chassis? That's where I found them on this one I'm working on now.

    Does anyone have any info on this radio? I really need a schematic, or Sam's number 89. I need to replace these. See pic. I can't get a decent solder on what's left of the lead. Need to know the value? My guess is they're used for filters. One on positive wire one on negative wire. Before PC board.

    Yeah. That's probably the safest thing to do. Disconnect is best. I've heard tell of people putting the end of the coax in a glass jar, and leaving it in the shack. I made my shack with an easy to pull through conduit just for that reason.
