I'm running a 1980s Antron 99 without radials. If I bought radials and put them on it would it be worth the money? Will it make that big of a difference?
Where do you guys buy your final transistors from? I need one for a Cobra 29 LTD. I can no longer read the numbers on it. I don't want to do the mosfet. Any specific part numbers you guys recommend and a place to buy them?
Damn it! I just now saw this reply. Sorry about that. I'm working on a Robyn DG-30 and I can't find almost anything at all on that. It seems like Shummy probably has a schematic. He's replied to another thread with a couple of Snippets from it. Anything you have on that radio would be great...
Do the speaker wires lead straight to the external speaker Jack on the inside of the chassis? That's where I found them on this one I'm working on now.

I can't get a decent solder on what's left of the lead. Need to know the value? My guess is they're used for filters. One on positive wire one on negative wire. Before PC board.
Yeah. That's probably the safest thing to do. Disconnect is best. I've heard tell of people putting the end of the coax in a glass jar, and leaving it in the shack. I made my shack with an easy to pull through conduit just for that reason.
