ive used a sirio decent antenna.. i now running a topload skipshooter.

i live in a trailer with a metal roof.. so a gaimaster probaly wouldnt be a good idea

i agree with get a skipshooter antenna i run one also.. for ya question ya need rg 59 ,75 ohm coax .. to my best of knowledge this is the only 75 ohm coax.

457 and 458 were the best ssb base stations,..they had a mobile with ssb not sure of its exact numbers 447??i think

before ya make any adjustments id call and talk withthe builder ask him why it changed so much

the mc kinney and uniden 980 are the better ssb radios

great looking setup.. i like a trunk mount antenna..where did ya find a wilson trunk mount there hard to find anymore? also how did ya mount that radio? i just pick up a suv/ crossover type vehicle with similar interior

i believe meter only works in am mode

if you still have those radios ya listed and antennas id just hook up what ya got see how ya like it before spending money.for antennas a 102 whip is still the best..i like a 5 foot skipshooter i like the topload design .a cobra 29 is still a great radio.if ya want sbb id recommend the uniden...

isnt the texas the 7 foot model???? if so the connector on it looked like a so239 type.let me know..and excited to hear how it works for ya

mine snapped at the middle section under high winds ..also knmow of 2 others with same issue ..

if you live in extreame climates with windy conditions the heavy built jogunn would be better..on just a performance note the 3 should outdo the 2 ..by a small amount
