I got so use to the kenwood ts-50 not making the pop in speaker , that the ss3900 was driving me nuts. It took me 2 years of research to find this modification. Seems the cb crowd could care less. That includes the majority of cb techs. Anyone have questions , I am willing to help. Tony

The 1.5 reading was the internal reading on the 29 swr meter. Not the analyzer.

I had the same problem with the recieve being very quite and had to turn volume up on distant stations. And turn back down on close up stations. My problem was the antenna not being tuned correctly.
