I tried that it did nothing. It is the audio ic causing the issue. I don't fully understand, the audio ic is on all the time correct?

I have the original ss 3900 which had a loud pop on transmit in the ex-speaker when keying up. There is a fix for the problem.

There is a fix for the pop in ex-speaker on transmit , for example the ss 3900 and alot of the older connex radios. :)

dead key vs swing It is best to have the amplifier balanced or matched to the radio. there is only one that i know of that has the knowlege to accomplish this. he is at west memphis ak. good luck!!!
