I don't see a C604 cap on the display pcb that I have, as the schematic shows.

thanks so much brandon, I have already changed out 2 electrolytic caps on that display board. Didn't change anything. The 2 originals I pulled off were good. I put back in the same uf but a little higher on max voltage. No change. Should I maybe put in a higher uf cap?

Looks like I will have to live with it. Don't have a scope. My radio is a RCI 2995 DX so I think I'm in the wrong forum. Anyhow thanks for chiming in.

My 2995 DX is losing memory after being on and then turned off. Defaults to 24.000 when I turn it back on. Any fix for this. Was wondering if a electrolytic cap would fix this problem?

what about NTE 152 is it a good replacement for the 2SC1419. I lost AM transmit on my Cobra 2000 SSB works fine.

forgot to mention that the frequencies I program into memory hold just fine. It's just when I turn it off and then back on it defaults to 24.0000 MHZ

Thanks Nomad for all that information. Had a idea what about soldering in black/red wires into that C4 location and using a single battery holder for one 1.5 AA battery. Would that work?

mine is holding memory a little better. Defaults to 27.3000 when I turn it on and RG beep ANL/NB are turned off from previously being turned on.

HP 75 amp didn't work so well in my 2995. Ran way to hot and was heating up the whole radio. So installed a new LRS-600-12V power supply runs much much cooler. So far the 2995 is working fantastic. Set at 13.8V
