Well that interesting the resan am asking is long time ago i had a bog stranded 1/2 wave silver rod type approx 20 feet up, i decided push it up to over 45 feet up (may be more it was a long time ago) and it needed some guys, so i think i can have the first part wire and have them as ground...

sound like a very good program so will have to find time to laern how to use Dave PS you may have noted i cannot spell ......... i can do most words with 3 letters

well i had i look at it last night and i can see how some of it works i can see i can import a file with a existing antennae but i cannot at the mo make my own, will have another look tonight

let me know how you get on with it .... i am asking as i dont want to spend the time learning to use some software that is useless. thanks dave

Hi i was just wondering what dictates the optimal length of ground radials on say a 5/8 wave sigma 2 type with a matching ring? if practical what will happen if say they are 1/2 wave or even 5/8 wave will the type of matching make a difference to the length needed ? thanks Dave

Well i know you can not spray it aluminium silver paint, a mate of mine did a 7 feet firestick and his swr went almost to the red.... the paint must have had a high metal content :oops:
