You did so well with the last amp......

Wow! My hat is off to you two. AB mod??? That would seem to imply to me that this was originall an "AM ONLY" amp.... but was modded to class AB for SSB operation. Is that anywhere close to true? I am kind of confused though... this amp has an SSB/AM switch on it....and that switch...

Any memory of the actual value of the resistors? I can't believe that this thing is that old!!!! Is it even possible that the transistors COULD be good anymore???

    Turner M+3 microphone schematic?

I am normally pretty good at searching and I am coming up blank on this one. I have had no trouble finding the Turner JM+2U/M+2U schematics along with plenty of info on the wiring differences between the two regarding relay vs electronic. I also found the Plus 3 desk mic schematic. But every...

You did so well with the last amp......

I thought I would try this one. I know it is a Fire Bird. The model is F100/BM. Just by the name only, someone else said it was a 2 tube linear capable of around 300 watts. This thing is small.... plus..... this thing has two transistors in it. I can not find any information about this...

Hit the Jackpot on Facebook Marketplace

BC, that Console V makes my third one. I have my original which has been recapped but I have been to lazy to align it, I have a spare parts radio that a guy sent me just for covering the shipping. I need to pull it in and put it on the bench and see what shape it is in! As far as the CDE...

Hit the Jackpot on Facebook Marketplace

The 48 is a 23 channel SSB radio. I have not tried it. It did not come with a microphone and (according to the SAMS book) the mic has a remote volume control that works when you punch the "REMOTE" button on the front. It will work with a non-original mic you just can't mash that REMOTE...

If I do anything at all with that one it will most likely be to "fix it" if it is broke and align it to spec. This is just a fun hobby for me..... gettin' back to my electronic roots!

    Trying to identify this amp...

THank you for EXTREMELY quick work. I have gone looking for it and found other models and see that you are right on the money. The faceplates all have that same look and the cabinet is red as well. I just can't find anything on this specific model.... at least not yet. Any idea what it will...

    Sams PhotoFacts Collection

Dan, I need to ask a favor. In that batch of radios I bought there is a Realistic TRC-24C. I do not have that one available and even CB Tricks does not have anything on this radio. It would be in CB-65. If you have that one, could I get the whole package on the TRC-24C (It looks like they...

    Trying to identify this amp...

This is the "mystery amp" that came in yesterday's lot purchase. I don't see any "branding" on it... but it looks too "professionally done" to be home brew... but I don't know. Does anybody recognize this thing??? Bob

Hit the Jackpot on Facebook Marketplace

late afternoon yesterday, searching for "CB RADIO" on the marketplace... an ad only 16 minutes old popped up showing 2 pictures of a ton of gear (several tubs with mobile radios, antennas, meters) and a small table with several radios on it..... all for $50. I made contact and she said it had...
