I am clearly not as smart in the topic as you are, but I definitely have to agree with you.

I started messing with it again last night after reading this old post. I was able to get swr down to 1.5 before I called it quits for the night. I am left to believe it is something to do with the grounded end. I will tinker more soon and see what I can get.

I was told I could put my mfj-264 1500 watt dummy load in mineral oil and it would work. I had no luck just very high swr from the load. It works all cleaned up from the oil but did not work in the oil. What did I do wrong?

What are the ssb alignment pits for this radio

How did you make out with this. I just received a 138 with no mic and need a jack for it and the wiring. Do you know ow where I can get the jack?

I sold mine, i liked it but it didn't like amplifiers. Was either not enough or not enough. No low power swing and high power wasn't high enough. Great radio to run barefoot as a base though, it just wasn't loud enough as a mobile in the diesel.

Do you have a schematic for the 23 channel teaberry tele T, anything would help.

I had 2 of the president fan kits installed on the radio. You can adjust in the menu the turn on temperature. I just let them run...the radio never got hot, talking to others who do not have the fan kits, I was told it does get warm but they were not concerned about adding the fans. Attached is...
