    I was wondering about that considering the 2290 is only rated at about 70 watts out, if I am at full modulation hitting it with more than half of its total power output ability, I have to be overdriving it.

    11 meter is very quiet?

    I've had Texas like they are Delaware/NJ locals for the last year. Today was Texas(as everyday is), Ireland, Scotland and London. I go by UDX-122.

    I just had it tuned up about a week and a half ago. There is no reason it should not be. It is only modded for 11 meter and I had it set from 1 watt to 45 watt so I would be able to key low with rf pwr all the way down.

    Amp help

    I sold a guy an amplifier and I believe he connected his coax in reverse. I took back the amp and am curious how I can test for this or if anyone knows what the consequences of thos would be to the amp.

    Some enthusiasts enjoy the older stuff. I am not a huge believer in recapping if something works just fine. Clearly this radio is not for you. Some people like old and some lime new. To each their own. But thank you for the information I hadn't asked for.
