I have a few TOKO RCL coils I need to test. Really just need to test the coils for a open/closed coil. If it's good or not. I saw on ebay that here are a couple of different low priced LCR meters that can test inductance. Anyone ever used one of these to test these toko coils? Thanks for any input.

C154 is missing in my Cobra 2000. Radio is working good but was just curious to why it isn't there. It's in the service manual. Thanks for any info

sorry the location was R128 22K. Anyhow I just went ahead and replaced it. I have no idea why it was cut in the first place. Thanks for your time.

yeah I saw the schematic and noticed that. Weird there is a red red orange in loc R129 which is a 22K. Someone must have changed it then cut it. Guess I'll put back in a 33K back in there. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Anyone know the function of R129 in a Cobra 148? The 148 I have is in good shape but it looks like someone cut R129. 22K resistor 1/8 watt. Just curious if it needs to be left alone cut, or replace it with a new one. thanks.

Hello. I'm in need of a new variable coil for a Cobra 2000 GTL. L38 that is in my radio, has been melted by a soldering iron, slug is stuck and cracked. I tried to look online to purchase a new one and I had no luck locating one. Does anyone know if this coil is available somewhere? See...

My 2000 is doing the exact same thing. Turn on radio and the clock resets. Can someone confirm that the caps in the freq counter are the problem and need replacing?
