This reminds me of some of the cars i worked on in the 70's and 80's that the same car had 4 different flywheels 3 different sets of crank pulleys ect was no standardizing between them just what ever left over parts they had to use at the time. Total to date of parts replaced: TR10 IC2 IC1 TR7...

On the schematic it shows TR9 as BD241....the transistor i took out says BD179 That ones a 20 dollar part... This has been more of a learning experience than fixing an amp it has nickled and dimed me past the point of its worth lol

The 1 ohm smoked a few seconds after i powered amp up With C34 out of line Tr9's collector shows ground

I am still waiting on parts....

As for the 1 Ohm resistor for all intent is it not a short electrically? A fuse perhaps if so why not just use a fuse? Just wondering

Radio is clean scope trace on first page shows the audio

R29 is open

ripping it apart now

stanby on and as far as R29 get no volts out of it on the c34 side

S3 was closed and what can i do about the high supply voltage? and i am getting no voltage out of R 29

RF final 35.19 Rf final base No volts all legs of of TR9 no volts amp power on in standby supply voltage 13.21 keyed and unkeyd base tr8 unkeyd .752 volts keyed no volts R29 35 volts on standby switch side no volts on c34.... R29 shows 1 ohm C34 shows ground on both sides

Ill check those voltages today thanks so much for the help and i would pay shipping for the amp message me

I have most of the test gear needed just not any real voltages to go by and a few differences in the schematic I am going by this one

3 watts am 8 sbb adjusting drive level does not help. mine seems top be the same as Bob's board from the other thread. I read 36 volts on the collectors of TR 6 & 7 in standby that sound right?

Yes it has the built in power supply it is rebuilt the amp does 300 watts but nasty ssb audio \> what are your4 pin jumper settings?

That would tough with bad eyes guess it is a paper weight
