So I was probing around a Cobra 29LTD and I see L18 is transmit no receive and I did not find a location to monitor receive so I guess adding 1 of these to a Cobra 29/25 and other AM radios is not a good thing at the moment as you will only be able to get transmit to activate the OLED counter.
if L18 is for receive what point will be for transmit.
What about a small relay that the input to the relay common is the counter.
And 1 receive point goes to 1 pole and the transmit the other pole.
so when u key it will show Transmit and no key it will show receive.
You can use pin 3 as the...
I have 2 of these on the way and was hoping to install 1 in a cobra 29ltd that has 80 extra channels.
So it will read receive and what will happen on transmit nothing will show?
Here is the pdf for the OLED and I dont see any offset function
thanks...
On the Cobra 29 ltd/gtl and the Dwight D and cobra 1000.
Is there a location on the pc board to monitor the frequency with a freq counter.
I know on the Cobra 142/Madisons/Washington and radios that use the MB8719/8735 pll TP 1 which is a resistor on 1 side is a good place to monitor the...

Thanks Nomadradio.
Again the audio amp that i have been using for the past 5 years works great nice clean audio if the audio amp and the playback module use separate power supplies.
The minute i tie them together to share the same supply the playback module audio gets distorted like bogged down...
I tried something like this and still no good.
Any better suggestions as i dont think its noise it when the external power supply ground is tied to the module it just wrecks havoc.
I ordered some isolated small module 12-5 volts and see what happens
or if a better suggestion please im all...
The amplifier is good for 5-12 volt in using the lm386. Been using this amp for 5 years no problem in all my other boxes that use one.
Its the recorder board that is getting hit when I try to use an external 5 volt power supply. Using battery supply is ok but an actual 12v supply to the 5v...
The current draw is less than 1amp.
To test this im using a Astron power supply and also on my other bench a variable PS dont know the name and same effects battery powered works good but under a power supply power the distorted audio. So it seems to be the 12 volt power to the boards as it...
I made sure all pc board module and LM7805 are all grounded the same common 12 volt in power. Tried all different ways of no ground the 5v reg and the audio amp.
So when its working great on battery power I switch wires to the 12 volt in power to the 5v reg and the 5v out pin to power the module...
So i have a audio module that I bought has 8 channels that can record and play back voice or music using just a onboard mic.
The module comes with a enclosed speaker and has 3 AA batteries inside and plugs onto the module to supply 5 volts and a speaker.
record audio is great and also recording...
Along the years many frequency counters have been sold out there.
There were regular ones with the so239s in back and some with the so239 and a antenna built in so you can use without jumper cables.
Would anyone have a circuit or directions on a way to make or add an antenna on a frequency...

Yes I know its in a trippler circuit for the xtals. Funny how all radios are made different in the crystal circuits for ssb radios and also Am radios no standardized simple circuit.
Here is a new kit I designed with relay switching to keep the frequency stabilized no drifting.
Will work with mb8719/mb8734 11.1125 or 11.3258 xtals.
crystals freqs you need are 11.2625 high and 10.9655 for low with the 11.1125 xtal.
remember to use trim caps and use a choke to lower the...
Would anyone know what other manufactures us the same board as Galaxy 959 2547 949 939 PC board,
I know there must be some other radios that are the same.
thanks for the help
Yes the 15.360 is the loop down mix crystal Same as the cobra 29s and yes the 858 861 pll radios.
I'm more so trying to see if the 14.910 and 15.810 are the correct frequencies to add 80 extra channels
thanks
