It does have a variable. But that's the first thing I tried. Then I noticed the final transistors were hot.

Guy brought me his x200 and output is about 50 percent of what it was. I immediately thought the transistors were bad, at least one of them. I could feel that one of them was getting hot, so I thought there is my imbalance. I replaced it. No change. Replaced the other 2879, and no change...

It is either or. I have used it in the house on a 300 amp supply and on 12v it peaks on my Bulldog meter at 3200 and on 16v looks about 4300. The Bulldog is right with a bird with the pep kit

Failed Gamma Has anyone found a cure for the weak gamma match on the Vector 4000? At 1000W pep the gamma match is shorting. The insulator sleeve that slides over the inner rod is burning a hole and causing arcing to the outer gamma housing, not to mention everyone that has failed was full of water.

I am impressed with the performance of it for sure. Might would be a good idea to call up dx engineering for some better grade aluminum.

I'm a big fan of the Sirio antennas. Have tried the higher end ones. The V4k was the best performing initially but developed problems quick. It is very limber. The dead soft aluminum stinger bent over the initial install on a couple customers V4k just from the whiplash of the antenna due to...

I've used this amp for 6 years with no issues. I just thought that a swap to 220v would make life a little easier for it.... By the way I have a Jon Boy box on the way :-)
