Hey all, I want to build an AM transmitter.

Hi! So I have a basic idea of what I need thanks to a website, but if I want to give my transmitter a bit more range, could I put in more voltage? or what else could I do? PS i got my guide from here -http://sci-toys.com/scitoys/scitoys/radio/am_transmitter.html
