Cobra 148 gtl needle not moving

I have a cobra 148 gtl taiwan version side mic. I could transmit and receive but the needle doesn't move when receiving audio. If i key the mic then the needle moves just not on receive. Also the swr meter on the cobra 148 gtl also moves when i key up but it seems to be way off compared to my...
