Palomar Model 60 Repair

I have an old Palomar model 60 I picked up a while back that I had planned to fix up and use. Upon powering it up everything lit up , I had purchased 2 new 6JU6 tubes off ebay. After letting it sit idle for about 5 minutes I thought it blew up as I heard a loud pop like an M80 and turned around...
