    No Sir, the Galaxy does not have any PL tone or split ability. My primary goal with this rig is to be able to work AM in the lower 29 MHz area if I ever hear anyone. I guess I'm waiting on sunspots now. It should work out well for me

    Its now 24 hours later and the new 14.46 MHz crystal arrived about an hour ago. It was a simple matter to put it in in place of the original 13.56 MHz peice. taking only a half an hour after getting the covers off.All that was needed in the way of alignment was to tweak the 3 coils, L20-21-22...

    I talked to John at Galaxy tech support on the phone yesterday.He knew of this crystal mod and agreed thats its a worthwhile upgrade. He directed me to a couple of third party parts suppliers to order the crystal. So I've ordered the crystal from a supplier in a nearby city and I hope to have it...

    Yep I realise that this radio is nothing but a glorified CB. Its full of junk like echo and roger beeps and such but all of that is kept turned off.I've seen these 14.460 crystals on the net ranging in price from 10 to 20 bucks if they would let me order just one.I'll probably keep the Galaxy...

    I have the Galaxy Dx- 95 T2 thats supposed to be a 10 meter radio. However it doesnt cover the entire band. I read that a 14.460 mixer crystal will replace the original X-3 13.56 crystal and enable greater frequency coverage on 10. However I have no source for these locally so I need to order...
