    Waste of time with ceramic caps, as for 33uF @2700V your capacitance will be barely enough to keep ripple within acceptable parameters for a tube (depending on the current of course). See attached picture if it ever will get through.

    COAX with STEEL BRAID

    Use crushed aspirin tablet mixed with regular flux to solder it. Just be careful not to melt plastic to the point of no-use. If you have a choice use plumber's flux designed to solder steel, but you will have to wash it off with a solvent after you done to prevent corrosion by the acid in the flux.

    I still use it mounted on 7' black iron pipe pounded into the ground, and grounded to the mount, without radials, haven't had a problem yet. SWR next to perfect, as for efficiency, 40m outperforms, else - mediocre. Coax buried into the ground, thus no need for any baluns, or RF chokes on the...
