I just hooked up my 2950 last night, and talked on Ch2 all night. Got to work tonight, and I can't get it into CB mode. Its on AM, and man button will not switch it into 1-40. When I turn the power on it goes straight to a frequency and will not switch. Am I not doing something right?

Cool beans! I work nights, so I should be ok with the display. I was hoping the DX was black, just hope the audio is pristine coming out of a mobile application.

I pasted this to an email and told them this is what I wanted. He said it was already included in the price. Straight up people so far. I also got a 4 to 6 pin adapter so I can run my RK56. hth

The review from CBWorld says that the dx has a new gray face instead of black. Isn't it just the opposite?

I just looked at galvanized push up poles. 20-40ft seem reasonable. Would be ugly as all get out. That would also negate the post above about using a wooden or fiberglass mast. I just dont want my neighbors knocking on my door.

Since I have not put an antenna up before, Im going over this in my head. Im trying to figure out to get the antenna up in the air in the first place. If I am shooting for 40 ft to the top of the antenna, I need 22ft of mast. That already seems tough to get something 40ft up, how can I go higher?

Thats what I was afraid of. A buddy of mine runs an Imax and he has no problems. Of course his neighbors are an acre away.
