Thanks for the help , but I got sidetracked for second and droped the solder on the printed side of the board ........oh well ..everything stoped . putting it back on the shelf untill another day. squelch WAS working fine .:)

Now if I turn the RF gain up all the way all I hear is static no talking still low voulme though. Keep rf gain on 7, I can hear em talking on Ch 6. (still low voulme ) :)

I changed C45 and still WEEK receive. External speaker and internal speaker has same amount of volume . Hold about one foot from your ear and you can hear em talking on the supperbowel channel .pretty clear just not loud. One of those talkers lives about 65 miles from me on the Fla. and Ga line

Changed c219 & c217 already ..no change. smeter is working fine.shows plenty of activity.. Transmits with no problem Good audio on transmit.I have allready changed all the caps ..and the rfgain pot and the voulme pot..still no voulme. Thanks

It was working fine, than the receive started to get lower . (i've been working on radio's since 1970) Got me stumped, Sent it to a buddy of mine thats been at it longer than me and he thouht he had it fixed....didn't.....put it on the self about a year , put it on my table , hooked up...
