    Palomar ERF-2030+

That's likely why Qixiang has the metal plate and thermal pad over the front of the devices in the Stryker and Anytone. A lot of amplifier designs that employ MOSFETs also have an aluminum bar across the front of the devices to clamp them down and provide another path for heat.

    Palomar ERF-2030+

That's really crazy high. Nobody wants to use a REAL RF MOSFET like the RD16HHF1 Not enough "watts"

    Another Amp Builder?

I think that's a mistake video not meant to be public. He admits to wanting to buy BBI amps but went to his own.

They can't help themselves.....:) I have the diagrams.... And no you can't turn the Bill FCC into the European model very easily. They didn't stuff half the parts required nor does it have the same software. If anything the US model is severely gimped. You would need to obtain the parts, stuff...

    Scorpion Repair Shop?

That's the guy that makes the amplifiers inside of a plastic electrical box and charges like a grand for it? This Telstar electronics person?

That was my point. It's a buy it and use it radio.

    Anytone at-6666 v3

Yes. All I did was buy a few on Amazon and unlocked them. Went out to the cars and put them in. No need to open these radios. They just work.

    Anytone at-6666 v3

When we design electronics - at least today so I can't answer for "yesterday" we go for the middle ground on any adjustment points. A lot of adjustable parts come as new at the center of their travels so that adds to the benefit. It's part of cutting down assembly time which is one of the most...

    Anytone at-6666 v3

I have several of these radios. They do not require fiddling in the menu. You turn the encoder just like you would a channel selector. It's not mystical. It works the same.

I have personally tried it. Hell, a friend of mine is the one that debunked it. I verified his results before he published his findings. I am glad you are happy with your purchase nonetheless.

    Anytone at-6666 v3

There are less than a handful of people making videos of radio that are not using it to solicit work. Rule of thumb is if they are working on radios for customers and doing videos they are all sales pitches and you can't believe more than half of what they say. Now the Anytone... The ones in...

    Anytone at-6666 v3

No, he just didn't know how to do a proper test. He also changed the conditions of the test halfway thru it. I would not go as far as to say he falsified it, but it was definitely ignorance on fire.

    Anytone at-6666 v3

The max mod does not run cooler. The math alone disproves that. We can do a few calculations to determine if a max mod will run better or worse. People have done the tests and the calculations and disproven the max mod. The ERF2030s .. are just custom labelled off the shelf MOSFETs. I can make...

    Anytone at-6666 v3

I like these radios. We have them in our cars. And we have modern cars where everything is tight and there is no place to put a full sized radio. Now the video Rabbi linked? Looks like a screwdrivered Anytone to me. I am sure he is just trying to get a bite. We all know that. These are good...

Why you need a low pass filter when using a splatter box amplifier

You cannot have meaningful conversations with a shill or a troll. Getting into the pissing match? Guilty as charged. *I* know I will not get a different result. This is why I don't engage half as much as I used to. In fact I personally think that goes for most people here, but I can't speak for...

Why you need a low pass filter when using a splatter box amplifier

That could work for a time but people like an audience... it's still going to bleed over.
