I have already performed this modification on a first silver grant series PC-999, but this grant mounts a different circuit board the PC-999 AD with fine and coarse After the modification I always realign carrier and pll with the frequency counter.

I would like to opening a clarifier (coarse and fine), to track on receive and transmit in SSB, but I don't find the schemeatic for the PC-999AD.

With the modification you can use fine to tune at the same time in rx and tx. It allows the shift of + - 5 khz

I know how coarse works, but that's not the point. I want to mods the Coarse and Fine so that they work in rx and in tx.

I prefer the mods that allows me to move in rx and tx at the same time.

Because in SSB with more than two interlocutors it becomes difficult to do isofrequency.

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply, but it is not so, with the coarse I can change the frequency in TX and RX, but with the efine it moves only the frequency in reception.

To be clearer, the radio is called Delta Force Dragon but is very similar to the Magnum Delta Force. Looking the soldering point are homogeneous I do not think the mosfet has been change.

Someone can tell me if this radio comes out of the factory with 3 Mosfet ? Thanks

The radio mounts 3 mosfet erf2030, could it be that when the radio starts to heat up one of them, go in auto oscilation ? from schema I see that they are two mosfet and the driver is a 2SC2166, there is a version like mine with 3 mosfet ?

All the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, almost all the solder points have been rebuilt. The radio initially doen't shows the defect, the wattmeter in usb and lsb measures 0 watts. Thanks for the help, I normally change all electrolyte capacitors on old radios (ept3600). This radio seems to me recent I think of 2000, however, all the electrolytic changes and I fix all solder joint starting from the back of the radio. i'll let you know
