    After trying mine on DC, again, it turned on and seemed to pick up fine. I moved it back over to AC in the house, and the results were the same. After a minute or so, however, the audio started dropping out and the analog meter with it.

    I’m glad I found this. My 2547 died too. At first the speaker went out, no audio.. Then when I keyed up it clicked a lot. Recycled power , no joy. Went from AC to DC, no joy. :( I hear it’s mostly the power supply, and they are known to have these issues. I heard they over heard as well:
