    I’m currently working with the Radio Shack BTX 127 with a longer non-rubber duck antenna. I’m currently getting 1.8 miles as the crow flies from my vehicle to front porch. I’m researching some decent antennas for house and vehicle. Any ideas would be good. (MURS vhf, 150-154 mhz)

    Just from what I’ve read here, all I have to say is, “Huh?!”‍♂️ I want to hang a firestik on a pole that is stuck in the ground and try to protect it from lightning strikes. Any simple suggestions?
