Update, checked the power and its 5 watts peak the pod doesn't turn any higher, and the low will go to 1 but I put it at 2 watts. How does one get more power out of the radio? Also tried the echo mod done nothing but turned receive to treble.

Yes, listen to skip every evening, im in Southern Indiana and the West coast comes in like they are at the end of the block so that parts good, but 5 watts isn't doing anything for me on this end.

Then what in the world can I do with this radio, throw it in the river and start over??? seems like everyone else has the best radios and can cut modulation loose, up the power, clarifier etc but this radio can't do anything?

Cut the clarifier loose, way better modulation swing, and up the output power.

Ok not much info out there about them other than dealers really like selling them along with their mod list. Is there another Ranger that the boards are the same so we can mod ourselves with that info???

im going to look at mine today i bet the resistor is always there and it has to be removed.

back in the late 90s we used to sell them a few a week and cut the modulation loose and swing 20 watts there were so many cbers around this was all we had to do to make anyone happy.
