freq counter noise I also read and tried the foil around the harness for the counter. I used a aluminum foil tape and it cut out the oscillation noise very well. I still have a little hum, but I will try the other DTB cure and a new power supply cap as well.

Evidently this little gem is the talkback board. the blue wire goes on the center leg of the mic-g (mic gain) control. This is if you use the EC2018EX microphones with the talkback option. There is also an addendum with the new TB models that state you have to have the power all the way up...

I have just aquired a D300, and the output was low on SSB, although it would go from a 2W DK to 6W in AM mode. SSB was peaking at 6W also. I checked the 2166 and the 1969 transistors initially and found both had readings from C to E. Tested 2 new ones and compared and the new ones didn't have...

I have a CBS 1000 and need to know the value of C32. It is where the Channel Guard would be installed. I want to move the channel guard, and replace the cap to keep the radio functional. I've looked at several places and connot find this info. If anybody knows, I would sure appreciate it.
