Those might be what's referred to as "scaffolding clamps"

the pics show aluminum jointing sleeves between sections on tagra's gold anodised answer to the sigma4, the best constructed of the sigma clones,
same idea as scaffold clamps but scaff clamps are steel and fit 2" scaffold pole,

booty, theres a pic of the gamma there but its not a closeup.
