I have a 4 door sedan... and I could put a 108 coming off high on the right rear quarter panel (say at trunk level) or put a wilson 5K hardmounted in the roof... would the 108 suffer from being slightly lower? Or would it still outpace it in performance because it isn't as lossy as the w5000 is.... ?

Probably close to an even trade off.

The 108 is a more efficient radiator but as a mobile antenna mounted low to the ground with no metal underneath it would be like a roof mounted Wilson, the Wilson will benefit more being centered on the roof for a 360 degree radiation pattern.

Full 1/4 whips are great but as many of us know they aren't very practical for most mobile installs.

Take a look at Breedlove antenna mounts for excellent quality NMO or Puck mount for your car roof. Their stuff is the best but not cheap.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
