Hi

I came here because I was hoping to get some questions answered.

I bought a brand new never opened 11' satellite dish in an auction. I don't know what I can do with it. I found an original article on it in popular science magazine from 1986. Article is here

From reading it looks like Ham Radio operators may want this thing. It is a complete package. Mounts, receiver, everything untouched for all these years.

Any Ideas or should it be scrapped?
 

If you enjoy FTA satellite KU band it will be good to have. Bring in some signals with that BUD. change LNB of course. Still some feeds on C band every now and then.

WIFI? makes a great parabolic reflector.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
